thnx for sharing this information abt favicon
I need an option to hide the bookmark names without removing them, like other browsers do.
When I go with the mouse over the icons, then the name should be displayed as tooltip and not the URL.
I installed the IO Extension and it removed all the names of my icons!!! Now I have to re-edit everything manually… this is really annoying.
It is so ridiculous that this requires an extension (much less a pathetic HURR DURR obvious PITA workaround in the form of a tech “tips” article) and not just a check box.
Plus, the extension barely even mimics the default bar and the anti-aliasing on the favicons is nonexistant. Ain’t no Firefox apologist either, just saying Chrome should take the risk of adding 3 lines of code to fix an obvious problem.
